Aleppo soap is considered one of the oldest soaps in the world, with a history dating back over 1,000 years. Some sources suggest its origins may go as far back as 2,000 to 3,000 years, making it one of the earliest examples of hard soap production. It is believed to have originated in the city of Aleppo, Syria, which was historically an important center of trade and culture along the Silk Road.
